This Privacy Policy applies to the websites and mobile applications (collectively, the “Sites”) provided by Authentic Business, a company based in San Salvador, El Salvador with respect to the personal data you share with Authentic Business under this Policy.

The Sites include https://authentic-business.net/ and additional websites or mobile applications produced and managed by Authentic Business.

Authentic Business knows that your privacy is important to you and takes user privacy very seriously. We are committed to protecting your personal data (i.e., any information you provide to us that allows us to identify you) in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Authentic Business reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify and update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Therefore, we encourage you to review the current version of the Privacy Policy each time you return to our Sites.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

Authentic Business may collect personal data from you, such as your name, contact details, occupation, company or university affiliation, industry, region/country, relationship with Authentic Business, reason for contacting Authentic Business, topics you are interested in, and any other information you choose to share. By browsing our Sites or submitting information to us, you explicitly consent to Authentic Business processing your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Authentic Business may use your personal data to fulfill your request, send you marketing communications or process your job application.

Authentic Business collects personal data from you when you request information from Authentic Business and/or provide information through the Sites, such as when you complete a subscription or consulting experience inquiry form, opt-in to receive emails from Authentic Business, agree to participate in surveys, join our alumni network, or apply for a position with Authentic Business.

The personal data we collect may include your name, email address, title, occupation, company or university affiliation, industry, region/country, relationship to Authentic Business, reason for contacting Authentic Business, topics that interest you, any other background information provided with an application, and any other information contained in messages you send us.

We may also collect information about how you use our Sites in accordance with our Cookie Policy.

By browsing our Sites and submitting this information to us, you explicitly agree that Authentic Business may use your personal data for the purposes and in the manner described in this Privacy Policy. Do not submit any information to us that you do not want Authentic Business to use.

Authentic Business will use your personal data to fulfill your application, provide you with the information you requested and/or send you marketing communications. If you have applied for a job at Authentic Business, your data will be processed for the purpose of evaluating and processing your application and candidacy for the position for which you have applied. We may also use your information to analyze and improve our recruitment and onboarding processes, as well as to communicate with you about Authentic Business events and to send you publications that we believe may be of interest to you.

Authentic Business may collect personal data and may disclose such information to third party service providers in conjunction with marketing and promotional purposes. However, in these situations, we do not disclose to these entities any information that could be used to identify you personally.

Authentic Business will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill your request or as long as we have a relationship with you. If you have applied for a position with Authentic Business, Authentic Business will retain your personal data associated with your application for a period of up to five years.

Please note that Authentic Business is not responsible for any information you may disclose publicly in chat rooms, message boards or similar web pages, including those hosted by or linked to our Sites. You should be aware that whenever you publicly disclose information about yourself online (e.g., through message boards or chat rooms), such information could be collected and used by people you do not know. In addition, certain message boards and similar user forums may display IP addresses along with the name and message of the message poster. Authentic Business is not responsible for any actions or policies of third parties that collect any information that users may disclose in message boards, chat areas or other user forums, if any, on the Sites.

Use of Cookies on the Sites

With whom we share your personal information

We may share your personal data with other companies within the Authentic Business group, as well as with other third parties who may be located in a country other than your country of residence. Authentic Business will not share or sell your data to third parties for their own use.

We may share your personal data with others, such as:

 – carefully selected third party service providers, such as marketing service providers (if you have subscribed to our marketing communications), IT systems providers, recruitment service providers, background check providers, data cleansing providers or event organizers, so that they can provide services to Authentic Business ;

– our consultants;

– law enforcement authorities or other government agencies when we are required to do so.

Third parties, other than law enforcement authorities or government agencies, will only handle your personal data on behalf of Authentic Business for the purposes described in this Policy. Authentic Business will not sell or share your personal data with such third parties for their own use.

Authentic Business group companies and other third parties with whom we share your information may be located in other countries, including countries that do not offer the same protection for your personal data as the country in which you reside. In that case, Authentic Business ensures that your personal data is protected through the use of appropriate legal mechanisms. If you reside in the European Union, such mechanisms include the use of contracts or wording approved by the European Commission (referred to as “Standard Contractual Clauses”).

Our sites may contain links to third party websites that are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Authentic Business assumes no responsibility for the content or your use of these websites.

The Sites may contain links to third party websites, including social networking sites. Such websites are governed by their own terms of use and privacy policies, which you should review before browsing or submitting information to them. Authentic Business is not responsible for the privacy practices of such websites. In addition, a link to a third party website does not mean that Authentic Business endorses or accepts any responsibility for the content or the use of such website. Authentic Business will not assume any responsibility for such content or your use of such websites.

Security of your personal data

Authentic Business has implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. These measures include anonymizing or pseudonymizing data where possible. Authorized Authentic Business personnel and the third parties mentioned above will only have access to your personal data to the extent they need it to perform their work or provide their services. However, despite these precautions, Authentic Business cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not gain access to your information.

Your Rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data and to object to or request restriction of the processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw your consent and request that we stop processing or delete your personal data.

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights with respect to the personal data Authentic Business holds about you. For example, you may have the right to request access to your information, obtain a copy of it, as well as information about how we use it. You have the right to request that we correct incorrect, inaccurate or outdated information about you. You may also have the right to request that we stop processing your information and/or to withdraw your consent to such processing and to ask us to delete your information.

Job Candidates

If you apply for a job at Authentic Business, you will be asked to submit information to Authentic Business, such as your name, contact details, information about your education and work history, and any other background information that may be relevant to your application or that you choose to share with Authentic Business. If you do not provide us with this information, we may not be able to process your application.

Authentic Business will use this information to evaluate your application and candidacy for the position for which you have applied. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, this may include: (i) evaluating your skills and experience relative to the qualifications required for the job for which you have applied; and (ii) tracking feedback and interactions we have with you throughout the hiring process. We may also use your information when analyzing our internal hiring processes to determine (i) which hiring sources to focus on; (ii) how to improve onboarding and training programs for new employees with different educational backgrounds and work experience; and (iii) how to improve our interviewing model to improve the quality of the hire.

We may share your personal data with other Authentic Business group companies, as well as with third parties, such as recruitment service providers, background check providers and IT system providers. These Authentic Business companies and third parties may be located in a country other than your country of residence. In particular, if you apply for a consultant position, your data will be stored in a third party database hosted in El Salvador.

We will retain your application data for up to five years. If you no longer wish Authentic Business to process your data or if you wish to exercise your rights, please send the request to info@authentic-business.net.

Children

Our Sites are not directed to children under the age of majority. Authentic Business will therefore not knowingly collect information about any minor and requests that such information not be sent to us.
